Embracing the Spirit of Giving: Adopt a Veteran Family for Christmas

The holidays should be a time of warmth, joy, and family. Yet for too many veteran families facing financial hardship, housing struggles, or recovery from foreclosure, the season can bring added stress instead of celebration.

At the KOVH Foundation, we believe no veteran family should feel forgotten at Christmas. That’s why we are proud to host our Annual Adopt a Veteran Family for Christmas program — connecting generous sponsors with veteran families in need of holiday support.

How It Works

Veteran Families can apply to be adopted and receive holiday support, including gifts for children, clothing, household needs, and even a holiday meal.

Sponsors — whether individuals, families, businesses, churches, or community groups — can step up to “adopt” a family and make Christmas brighter through donations and personal touches of kindness.

Why It Matters

Veterans have given so much to our country. Many now face challenges such as housing insecurity, financial strain, or medical struggles. By adopting a veteran family, you’re not just giving gifts — you’re restoring dignity, creating joy, and reminding our heroes they are not alone.
