Every Day Counts: Standing with Veteran Families in Housing Crisis

ree

Every single day, more veteran families wake up wondering if today will be the day they lose their home. For some, the notices have already come. For others, the clock is ticking on missed payments, unanswered calls, and broken promises of help.

The VA’s Veteran Assistance Safeguard Program (VASP) is gone. FHA-backed veteran mortgage protections are ending September 1st. And too many who once wore the uniform—and their families—are facing a battle they never thought they’d fight: the battle to keep a roof over their heads.

At the KOVH Foundation, we refuse to stand by while our heroes are left to fend for themselves in this silent crisis. That’s why we’re on the front lines every day—raising awareness, pushing for legislative change, and sending “We’ve Got Your Backs” care packages to families in the middle of foreclosure recovery.

But we can’t do it alone.

This is where you come in.

  • Join us in speaking out—share the facts about the VA foreclosure crisis with your friends, community, and online networks.

  • Stand with us on August 15th, our National Day of Action, by wearing red and rallying in your community to say: No veteran should lose their home in the country they served.

  • Support our mission—your donations fund care packages, outreach, and advocacy efforts that directly help veteran families facing foreclosure.

Every action you take—no matter how small—builds a louder, stronger message to lawmakers, banks, and the nation: We will not let our veterans be forgotten.

Our veterans once fought for us. Now it’s time we fight for them. Visit www.keepourvetshoused.org to learn more, take action, and be part of the movement.

Because a home isn’t just four walls—it’s safety, stability, and dignity. And our veterans deserve nothing less.
