Honoring Independence by Defending It at Home

As fireworks light up the sky and families gather to celebrate the birth of American freedom, the Fourth of July is a reminder of the sacrifices made by generations of service members to protect that very liberty. At the KOVH (Keep Our Vets Housed) Foundation, we believe there’s no better way to honor that legacy than by standing up for those who stood for us—especially when they’re in crisis here at home.
Independence means nothing if it doesn’t include stability at home.
Across the country, veteran families are quietly fighting battles few see—battles against foreclosure, housing insecurity, and systems that too often fail them. These are families who once packed up everything to serve our nation, only to come back to a housing market that pushes them to the edge. This is not the freedom they fought for. It’s not the security they were promised.
That’s why the KOVH Foundation exists.
On this Independence Day, we recommit ourselves to our mission:To protect the freedom and dignity of veteran families by fighting to keep them in their homes.Whether through awareness campaigns, legislative advocacy, direct aid, or grassroots action, we’re here to say: You didn’t fight alone, and you won’t face foreclosure alone either.
How You Can Make a Difference This July 4th:
🇺🇸 Donate – Skip the extra fireworks and donate to help a veteran family save their home.🇺🇸 Spread the Word – Share our mission on social media. Housing insecurity among veterans is a silent crisis—and silence only helps it grow.🇺🇸 Support Our Programs – From our "We've Got Your Backs" care packages to our Ambassador Program, every initiative is powered by people like you who believe that patriotism extends beyond parades.🇺🇸 Sign Our Petition – Help us push for national reform in how veteran foreclosures are handled. Your voice adds power to our fight.🇺🇸 Join Us on August 15 – Be part of our National Day of Action, where we bring communities together nationwide to raise awareness and demand justice.
This Fourth of July, while we celebrate America’s birth, let’s also protect the people who gave their all to preserve its promise.
Because what is freedom—without a place to come home to?
From all of us at the KOVH Foundation, we wish you a safe, meaningful, and patriotic Independence Day. Let’s honor our veterans not just with words, but with action.
