A Week of Fun, Challenges, and Action to Keep Our Vets Housed

The KOVH Foundation is calling on YOU to take part in our exciting Week of RED — a jam-packed, seven-day lineup of challenges, streams, and activism to raise awareness and fight for veteran housing justice. From selfies to farming challenges, trivia battles to social media takeovers, there’s something for everyone — and every action you take earns you points toward amazing prizes!

📅 Event Schedule & How to Earn Points

August 10 – Wear RED & Share

Post your selfie wearing RED with #WeekOfRED & #KeepOurVetsHoused. Tag 3 friends AND tag @pappyintheword for your points to count.📌 Points: 2 points per verified selfie with hashtags, tags, and @pappyintheword.⏳ Cutoff: 11 PM EST.🎮 Special Stream: All-day takeover by FordFarmingPower.

August 11 – KOVH 1HR Hunting Competition

Calling all hunters! Sign up in our Discord server before 6 PM EST.🎯 Start Time: 7 PM EST.🏆 Points: 1st – 25 pts | 2nd – 15 pts | 3rd – 5 pts.

August 12 – Boot Camp Brain Busters (Twitch Trivia Event)

Answer trivia questions for 1 point each. Watch for “super words” in chat worth 25 points each!🎯 Start Time: 7 PM EST.📌 Points Cutoff: When the stream ends.

August 13 – Recruit an Ally

Invite 3 friends to join the movement by:✔ Joining our Discord✔ Following our social media✔ Subscribing to approved Twitch streams📌 Points: 3 points per support action (verified).🎮 Special: Twitch subs to KOVH board members = 10 points each (must tag us in Discord with username).

Wear RED, join our online rally, post on social media, and call lawmakers to demand housing justice for veterans.🎮 Streams All Day: FordFarmingPower → Grump Old Pappy → FordFarmingPower

August 16 – Social Media Takeover

Post graphics, reels, or stories with #SilentCrisis & #KeepOurVetsHoused — you must tag @pappyintheword for your points to count.📌 Points: 3 points per verified post (with tags).🎮 Streams: FordFarmingPower (morning–afternoon) → KJ (evening).

How to Track Points & Win

We’ll keep a running tally of all your verified activities. At the end of the week, the top point earner gets their choice of KOVH Foundation T-shirt, and second place gets a custom KOVH Keychain.
