For me, I knew from the beginning that the amazing and inspiring souls behind the #AIADW movement, were going to be not only the inspiration I needed so badly. It seems that all too often, when we are finding ourselves struggling in our own inner battles, hearing the many different voices that live in our minds, we find ourselves on the brink of declaring we are lost or ready to give up. For too many, I fear, they may have already even actually done so, giving up on their goals and dreams chalking it up to not being in the stars for them.
Not going to lie, last year, I found my faith in myself, in my choices, in my battles, and sadly enough, in my platform, tested to the max. So many people whom I thought would always be there to count on, keep promises, be honest, or wanting to be in my life (or help with the cause), doing so for the right reasons..not for thank yous, material things, or more than i could ever give them. I was absolutely destroyed inside, feeling betrayed, run over, and thrown under the bus for various reasons. The hurt was too great.
