n America, we proudly honor those who’ve served in our armed forces. We wave flags, cheer in parades, and thank veterans for their service. But too often, when the spotlight fades, many of our nation's heroes are left to fight their toughest battles alone—this time, not on foreign soil, but right here at home.
One of the most devastating struggles veterans face today is housing instability and foreclosure. And now more than ever, it's a crisis demanding our collective voice, action, and unwavering support.
The Silent Crisis: Veterans Are Losing Their Homes
Over the past several years, veteran families across the country have quietly faced increasing rates of foreclosure, financial hardship, and housing insecurity. The end of protective programs like the VA’s COVID-era mortgage relief initiatives has left many families vulnerable, without a safety net. Veterans who once had structured assistance are now scrambling to navigate complex systems, legal red tape, and uncaring institutions—all while trying to keep a roof over their families’ heads.
This isn’t just about dollars and debt. It’s about dignity. It’s about mental health. It’s about honoring our national promise to those who served.
Why the KOVH Foundation Exists
The Keep Our Vets Housed (KOVH) Foundation was born from personal experience, heartbreak, and the refusal to stay silent. Founded by a military spouse who fought to save her own family’s home, KOVH is now the nation’s first and only nonprofit dedicated specifically to protecting veteran families from foreclosure and homelessness.
We are boots on the ground—raising awareness, pushing for legislative change, offering guidance, and building a community around a mission far too long ignored.
Whether it's through direct advocacy, public education, emergency resources, or our Veterans Housing Justice Ambassador Program, we are giving families the tools, hope, and strength to fight back. We’re saying, "You are not alone."
This Fight Needs You
This is a call to action. Right now, you have the power to help keep a veteran family in their home. Whether it’s by donating, volunteering, becoming a local Ambassador, or simply sharing our mission—your support saves lives.
Here’s how you can join the fight:
🔹 Donate: Every dollar helps fund emergency support, outreach campaigns, and our advocacy efforts.
🔹 Become an Ambassador: Represent your state in our nationwide movement for housing justice.
🔹 Share the Story: Use your voice on social media to amplify our message and reach families who need help.
🔹 Host a Fundraiser or Event: Whether online or in your community, you can raise awareness in powerful ways.
Veterans Fought for Us. Now We Fight for Them.
We can no longer afford to look away. Our veterans deserve more than medals—they deserve stability, protection, and peace of mind. The KOVH Foundation is here to ensure they get it—but we can’t do it without you.
Let’s rise up together. Let’s build a stronger, more united front for those who gave everything for this country.
Visit www.keepourvetshoused.org to get involved today. Because keeping our vets housed isn’t just a mission—it’s a moral obligation.
