At the KOVH Foundation, we believe every veteran family deserves the security of a safe and stable home. Yet, far too many veteran families face the devastating reality of foreclosure and housing instability. This August 15th, we invite you to join us in a powerful movement to raise awareness, advocate for justice, and take action during our Week of RED leading up to the National Day of Action and Awareness.
Why the Week of RED Matters
The color red symbolizes the urgency and passion behind our mission — to keep veteran families housed and safe. The Week of RED is a dedicated time for communities, advocates, and allies nationwide to come together, share stories, wear red, and amplify the voices of veteran families impacted by housing insecurity.
How You Can Get Involved
Wear RED all week to show your solidarity and share photos on social media with our hashtags.
Share veteran housing stories to raise awareness and humanize this silent crisis.
Contact your local and state representatives to demand policies that protect veteran homeowners.
Host or join local events and rallies to support veteran housing justice.
Donate or volunteer with KOVH Foundation to provide direct support to families in need.
The Silent Crisis
Despite their service and sacrifice, many veterans find themselves struggling with mortgage payments and foreclosure risks as critical federal protections and assistance programs expire. The silence around this crisis leaves families vulnerable — but together, we can break that silence and demand change.
