Standing Strong: Every Action Counts to Keep Our Veterans Housed

Today, as we kick off another day in our fight for veterans’ housing justice, we’re reminded that real change starts with everyday people taking everyday actions. The KOVH Foundation was built on the belief that no veteran — and no veteran family — should face the heartbreak of losing their home.
Right now, the stakes are high. The VA’s Veteran Assistance Servicing Program (VASP) has ended, leaving tens of thousands of veterans without critical protections against foreclosure. Partial-claim programs have been phased out, and many families are staring down the possibility of losing the homes they fought so hard to earn.
But here’s the truth: we still have the power to fight back — together.
What You Can Do Today
Wear RED and Share – Snap a selfie in red, post it with #WeekOfRED and #KeepOurVetsHoused, and tag three friends to spread awareness.
Sign and Share Our Petition – Add your name at https://chng.it/y9kRx8ghWn and help us push Congress to restore and strengthen veteran housing protections.
Join Our Ambassadors & Street Teams – Get trained, get connected, and become a voice for housing justice in your own state.
Donate or Fundraise – Every dollar fuels care packages, advocacy campaigns, and direct support for families in crisis.
Why It MattersThis isn’t just about houses — it’s about dignity, stability, and keeping promises made to those who served. Every home saved is a family kept together, a safe place for children to sleep, and a victory for justice.
As we move toward our National Day of Action on August 15th, let’s make this week count. Small actions add up to big change, and your voice could be the one that tips the scales.
Together, we can keep our vets housed.
