🌟 When the Fight Follows You Home

For many veterans, the battles don’t end when service does. While the uniform is folded and the medals are tucked away, another kind of fight begins — one that takes place at the kitchen table, in the bank’s foreclosure letters, or in the endless calls to programs that promise help but aren’t yet in place.
This is the fight to keep a home. The fight to hold a family together. The fight to find stability after years of sacrifice.
At the KOVH Foundation, we know this struggle firsthand. Our story begins with the same heartbreak too many veteran families face — the looming threat of foreclosure. Since 2014, our founder and her family have lived that reality, fighting to hold on when the system seemed built to push them out.
And that’s the truth: the system doesn’t move fast enough to meet the needs of those who served. Programs like the VA’s newly announced July 30th Partial Claim option exist on paper, but in practice, families are told “not yet.” Meanwhile, foreclosure clocks keep ticking, leaving veterans and their children caught in limbo.
This is the Silent Crisis.
It’s happening behind closed doors, across neighborhoods, and in communities everywhere. Veterans — men and women who once swore to protect this country — are being failed in their own homes.
But here’s what we believe: no veteran family should face this alone.
Why KOVH Exists
KOVH — Keep Our Vets Housed — was created out of that personal fight, to turn pain into purpose. We are raising awareness, advocating for systemic change, and building solutions that go beyond quick fixes.
Projects like our upcoming Harvest of Hope Farm are designed to give veteran families stability, job opportunities, and hope for the future. But until the programs catch up, until the policies change, and until the support truly reaches those in need — KOVH will stand in the gap.
To Every Veteran Family Reading This
We see you. We know your struggle because we’ve lived it, too. And we want you to hear this clearly: you are not forgotten, and you are not alone.
This fight may feel overwhelming, but there is a community standing with you, ready to push forward until housing justice becomes more than a promise — it becomes a reality.
Stay strong. Keep the faith. Hold on.
We’ve got your back. Always.
